Acting for High Schoolers – Thurs 7 to 9* – Spring 2019
Students in this class will work on a wide variety of scenes and monologues to develop and expand their acting skills. With a goal of students being prepared for school play auditions, college auditions, or professional work, students will focus on the development of an actor’s deepest possible emotional connection and spontaneity while bringing their true self to each role. This class also develops techniques unique to the auditioning process, including working on-camera, cold reading and participating in mock audition exercises.
This class will be taught by Brian Carter, a successful working actor!
*We understand that life gets busy at times. If you can only attend for an hour, need to leave early, or will miss class, please notify Brian at least 2 hours before class time so he can adjust scene work accordingly.
