Adult Acting - Tues 1 to 2 pm – Winter 2018
Why go into the city when you can learn advanced acting techniques from professional actors who are currently working on stage, TV and film, just 10 minutes (or less) from home! In this class for adult actors, we will explore different techniques and approaches to acting and auditioning for stage, film and TV. Through in-class scene study and on-camera work, actors will learn a more specific and deeper understanding of material. Through mock auditions, actors will explore advanced self-taping techniques for TV and Film. Actors will be asked to do self-taping assignments on their own at home. At least one taping for actors will be reviewed by a casting director or professional agent or manager and will provide feedback. The fundamentals of working in the current professional environment will also be explored.
Eagerness is more important than experience! Whether you are looking to improve your public speaking skills, advance your acting career, or just have fun, you are welcome in this non-intimidating class for the 18-and-over crowd.
This class will be taught by Brian Carter, a successful working actor.
