Triple Threat Independent Film Project – Summer 2019
Building off last year's premiere Triple Threat Independent Film Project, in which 21 participants created and starred in the film short Mining an Asteroid, we are proud to launch this year's expanded and improved summer program! This year’s 3T IFP will include 136 hours of time versus 68 hours last summer. And, most importantly, we have expanded filming time from 32 hours to 76 hours!
Triple Threat’s Independent Film Project (3T IFP) allows a limited number of participants the opportunity to learn about the making of an independent film. During the course, students participate in EVERYTHING from writing to pre-production to post-production experiences with the core experience being FILMING the short film conceived and written by the participants alongside professional writers, director and crew.
June 2, 16, 30; July 14, 21 – These Sundays will be the writing workshop and pre-production dates for 3T’s Independent Film Project. We know of course that some participants won’t be able to make all of these dates. We will be sharing all of the work from these dates online so that everyone is kept up to speed.
July 29 – August 10 will be the dates for production. We will work Monday – Saturday from 11am – 7pm with adjustments for night shoots as necessary. We will start with rehearsals on Monday, July 29, and begin filming on Wednesday, July 31. Filming dates are mandatory (except for limited exceptions for professional work).
In late August and throughout the early fall, we will have set sessions this year for participants who would like to be an even bigger part of post-production process with TBD sessions for approximately another 10 hours.
