Songwriting with Georgia Wright

Songwriting with Georgia is a creative and collaboration-based class for songwriters of all levels. Whether your child is experienced with an instrument or just getting curious about expressing themselves through music, everyone will learn how to song-write in a way that is customized to their skill level and abilities. In this class students will learn how to listen to music like a songwriter, use the fundamentals of poetry to enhance their lyricism, pick up on common chord progressions across genres, and collaborate with their fellow musicians. Students will write several songs over the course of the semester to be shared within our judgement-free zone class-space, as well as learn how to give kind and constructive feedback on each other's work. Whether your child is a Taylor Swift fanatic, classic rock kid or musical theater lover, everyone in this class will use their personal musical heroes as a guiding light to find their sound and push the boundaries of their creativity.
