Teen Acting and Improv

Students in this class will dig into scene work in a scene-study class setting on par with what professional actors experience in New York and L.A. This will be a challenging class but also one in which the demands of high schoolers' busy schedules are respected. This is a time to release stress, get lost in characters, and not feel pressure to prepare outside of class. If there is interest, students may explore improv and/or monologues.

WHEN: Tuesdays from 7 to 8 pm
12-week session: Sept 15, 22, 29; Oct 6, 13, 20, 27; Nov 3, 10, 17, (not Nov 24); Dec 1, 8
(Students with show conflicts are welcome to make up two classes by dropping into the middle school class for a double-header, MS & HS Acting)

WHERE: Saugatuck Congregational Church, the white church between the Playhouse and downtown Westport, 245 Post Road East (enter through the back entrance; class will be on stage in Hoskins Hall on the lower level, as available, or on the top floor in the choir room/"Chapel").
